´╗┐Artist in Residence Project 2016

Blow In is a project by London based artist William Bock currently in residence at Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre, Ireland.  Between June and August 2016 William is initiating an artistic dialogue with locals and particularly Polish immigrants about their experiences of making West Cork their home.

Brought up in West Cork by parents with Swedish, German and Polish heritage, William is connected to the wider story of immigration in Europe and the experience of living between cultures. Returning home to Skibbereen is an opportunity for the artist to connect further with stories of immigrants by meeting and making photographic portraits of individuals settling in Ireland.

During his residency in Skibbereen William is organising workshops, a talk, exhibition and a public feast all exploring ideas of home, identity and immigration through and beyond photography.

Have a look at the Residency Program page for more information.
