MOAT BRAE : 2016
This project allowed for the use and exploration of a heritage site in Dumfries, Scotland, that is being converted into a 'National story telling centre for children'- it is the place where Peter Pan was born'. J.M Barrie was inspired to write Peter Pan here. I however was enthralled by this heritage building that at this point was only at stage one of it's planned development, and it was with this background in mind that i wanted to explore spaces and locations and the 'placement' of contemporary paintings in this heritage building. It was the energy and relationship between art and architecture that became quite palpable. A conversation had begun and between the two an artwork was created that you could physically walk around and interact with.
